The Webteractive crew split into two squads for a six-station amazing race built on this year's theme — where the fastest hands and the tightest teamwork took the crown.
Stronger Connections, Better Solutions
This year's Webteractive team building turned our theme into a full-blown amazing race on June 26, 2026. Organized by Mark Tacatani, with Aime Umemura and Marge Bacaling lending a hand, the whole day ran on one idea: the stronger we connect, the better we solve.
The organizers
None of it happens without the people behind the clipboard. Mark Tacatani put the whole race together, with Aime Umemura and Marge Bacaling keeping the stations, timing, and logistics running all day.
Two teams, one arena
The crew was split the fairest way possible — rock-paper-scissors — pairing everyone off into two squads: the Red Firey Balls and the Green Vipers.
Before any racing began, each team dove into the warm-up rituals: naming their team, making a banner, and crafting a cheer. This wasn't just for fun — banner points were the official tie-breaker, so both squads went all in. They brought their banners to life, workshopped their chants, and performed.
The main event: six stations, one clock
The rule was simple and brutal: the team with the shortest completion time per station wins the race. To keep the stations from jamming up, the teams ran a staggered route — Red started at Station 1 and worked through in order, while Green kicked off at Station 3, ran through to 6, then looped back for 1 and 2.
Station 1 — Don't Drop the Ball
Keep the ball rolling from “Go!” to the finish. Drop it, and the whole team heads back to the starting line.
Station 2 — Hold the Basin
Six players balance a basin with their feet while removing their socks — no hands. Spill it and it gets refilled; drop it completely and you start over, clock still ticking.
Station 3 — Egg Delivery
Three eggs per team. Drop all three and your game is over. Tie-breaker goes to whoever caught the most eggs before the last one cracked.
Station 4 — Cup Pyramid
Two groups of six, each building a 15-cup pyramid with a rubber-band tool. Snap the band and you fix it yourself — while the clock keeps running.
Station 5 — Transfer the Water
Fill a 1-liter container using a small bottle passed down the line. Only the first and last members may use their hands. Drop the bottle and you retrieve it with your feet; empty it and you start over.
Station 6 — Chain March
Line up side-by-side, tie each person's foot to the next, and walk in perfect unison to the marker and back. One foot comes untied? Back to the start — all of you.
And the winner is… the Green Vipers
When the dust — and the water, and a few eggs — settled, the Green Vipers came out on top. But every station was a highlight, and the real win was watching everyone, red and green alike, having an absolute blast.
One more reason to celebrate
The day came with a bonus: we also celebrated Reinhart's birthday. Nothing caps off an amazing race quite like good food, good company, and a birthday to toast to as the sun went down.
Why it matters
Team building isn't about the trophy. It's the reps we put in trusting each other under a little pressure — laughing through the messy moments, syncing our steps, catching the egg before it drops. Stronger Connections, Better Solutions: this year we didn't just say it, we ran it, one basin and stacked cup at a time.
A big thank you to Mark, Aime, and Marge for pulling it all together. See you at the next one.
